Establishes design standards and procedures; responsible for integrated system of design, contract, specifications and construction; assists in reviewing quality on all phases of projects as appropriate. Responsible for overseeing project scope management communications and cost control communications. Works with the Project Managers to determine project schedules and budgets; provides a weekly manpower schedule showing baseline hours vs. workload. Stays abreast of developments in facility design and their impact on projects; reviews publications and literature to remain current with materials and methods of construction. Works with personnel to develop new methods to improve efficiency and quality. Supervises the work of all personnel on department projects.
